Install or reconnect
Sign in to your Meme the Situation account, open Account, and choose Connect Slack. A workspace admin may need to approve the requested permissions. Reconnect after a scope change or revoked token.

Open the app’s Messages tab and send a situation, use /meme [situation], or invite the app to a channel and mention it. The app only responds when explicitly invoked.
No channel context
Invite the app to that channel first. Private channels require an explicit invitation and the corresponding Slack permission. “Meme the room” reads a bounded recent window only when invoked.
Approvals or regeneration
Use Approve, Reject, or Regenerate below a draft. Nothing publishes automatically. If buttons have expired or the app was reinstalled, create a fresh draft and try again.
Uninstall
A Slack workspace admin can remove the app from Slack’s app management screen. Uninstall revokes the bot token. Email us to delete retained product data associated with the installation.
Privacy or deletion request
Email the workspace name and your account email. We will verify that you are authorized, then handle access, export, correction, or deletion under our privacy policy.
